About the opportunity

Reporting into the CEO and leading a team of incredibly talented and committed experts, your role is to oversee our high-level operations. Modica is on a massive growth trajectory and we are looking for a leader who will maintain operational excellence, striving for optimal results in our projected world-wide expansion. As importantly, you will embrace and enhance our grounded, passionate and globally formidable workplace culture. You will do this through:

  • Empowerment: Engage with and drive company values and culture aligning these with our strategic and financial directives, whilst supporting significant recruitment activities
  • Leadership: Provide consistent and supportive leadership across the team, and positively influence through all engagements with internal and external stakeholders
  • Management: Of multi-jurisdictional risk, cyber security, compliance and legal frameworks ensuring Modica remains informed about regulatory and legislative changes in the technology and security space
  • Development: Consistently review and realign operational, strategic and business critical functions so our employees have leading edge systems, processes and resources to do their best work
  • Performance: Lead by example in your interactions, work ethic and passion for success, attracting top talent to be part of the Modica journey
  • Strategy: Provide executive level support for major tenders and proposals and establish lasting relationships with customers, investors, partners and suppliers

About you

To be successful in this role you will be commercially astute and have run entire operations for high growth ICT, cloud, and/or Telco businesses. You’ll be conversant with cross-functional operations, security and risk management, and know how to get the very best out of distributed teams.   • Proven expertise as a well rounded people leader who can develop teams and culture at a high growth technology businesses
  • Demonstrated success in executing business strategies that translate into practical application for high growth cloud or tech companies
  • Commercial acumen relating to financial management, investment and reporting
  • Oversight and management of cyber security and risk portfolios
  • Executive level relationship building, communication, public speaking and presentation skills
  • Analytical savviness with the ability to interpret and construct reports
  • The ability to be highly strategic but detail focused when needed
  • Global work experience is desirable
  • A resilient, positive and can-do attitude
