IRAP

The Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) enables Australian Government customers to validate that appropriate controls are in place for addressing the requirements of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) produced by the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).

It is a strategic advantage as it strengthens an organisation’s partnership with the Australian Federal Government and signals a high cybersecurity maturity.

An independent IRAP assessor examined Modica, with zero critical findings. This positions Modica as a leader in the CPaaS space and puts Modica in good company with the likes of AWS, Microsoft, Proofpoint, Okta and Nice.

Security Framework

SOC 2

SOC 2 (System and Organisation Controls 2) is a security compliance framework developed by the AICPA to assess and validate how organisations manage customer data. It focuses on ensuring service providers maintain robust security and privacy controls, particularly for data stored in the cloud. SOC 2 reports demonstrate to clients that an organisation has implemented appropriate controls to protect their data.

The security compliance framework is based on 5 "Trust Services Criteria" that define the key areas of focus: 

1. Security: Protecting systems and data from unauthorised access (both physical and logical)
2. Availability: Ensuring systems are available for their intended use
3. Processing Integrity: Ensuring data processing is accurate, complete, and authorised
4. Confidentiality: Restricting access to sensitive information to authorised individuals
5. Privacy: Addressing the collection, use, retention, disclosure, and disposal of personal information
